A very well-built family residence took a direct hit from the EF2 tornado, with the front side of the home having the plywood exposed and with most of the shingles gone but the rest of the house fully intact due to the house having all the proper clips and braces with rebar. The tornado then intensified and produced some of its worst damage at Preston Street and Mechanic Street (Mechanic Street was today's Saint Catherine and Mary streets). Notes: The EF-1 tornado touched down southeast of Center, Kentucky near Herbert Hodges Road. Trees blocked the Louisville-Pewee Valley road for two miles. County: Oldham
